Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do. However if you wish to ship international please send an email through to hello@dusty-creations.com with your intended sending address so we can accurately provide the most affordable option.

How are your pieces made?

Each Dusty piece is creating using Walker Superior White Porcelain in a process called ‘slip casting’. This process involves pouring liquid clay into a plaster mold that contains the desired shape. The plaster works to pull out the water from the clay and leave behind a solid clay shell. From here each piece is allowed to dry and is then removed to be trimmed and hand-painted using a combination of DECO and CESCO underglazes. Finally each piece is fired twice in a Woodrow kiln, first to bisque temp and then once Walkers Brush on Stoneware Glaze is applied, fully fired.

Do you really use all Australian Materials?

Yes it is important to us to use Australian materials and suppliers wherever possible. Our porcelain, underglazes and glazes are all made and distributed by Australian companies. These include Walker, DECO, Cesco, Woodrow and Blackwattle Pottery Supplies. Even our colouring book was made and printed in Australia.
